The time has flown by.
It feels like only yesterday I was still living in the dorms, talking about the upcoming year. The year came and went in what felt like a flash... so, where do I start?
The Move.
My summer job was all that I expected it to be. I did enjoy it, it was nice to move up in the Conference Services Office, especially the nice pay raise. :)
I spent most of my summer.... On the computer, lol. I did a lot of listening to music, dancing around the office and hourly, it felt like, updating the status on my facebook or myspace. How exhausting being a Conference Office Assistant was. Seriously, out of the 30 schedule hours I had at work, I spent about 10 hours actually doing office work and about 3 to 5 hours outside the office, whether working or wandering the dorms in search of something entertaining.
Donny moved out about 3 weeks before the end of the Conference Services season. As for that, let's just leave it at: It was a hard and complicated night... but it ended well. Donny and I remain friends. Finally, after all the groups we hosted over the summer were gone, some leaving disgusting messes and others leaving nice things for us to take, I totally got some good stuff from them, including a cute purse!, I started the long and frustrating moving process. I had already helped my roomates in their moving, so I was already pretty fed up with the whole "moving thing". I tried to stay organized and made the move with the help of a few friends and my brother, who helped me bring my bed over from Fillmore, where my mom lives. That weekend was fun, at least. After my brother, Vicente, Adriana's family, and Armond helped us move our massive refrigerator from the old APT to the new one, we chilled and went to a party at the good ol' Acasola house... it was fun. It was really strange for me to be partying with my older brother, but I liked it! I'm glad he was able to hang out with all my friends.
The New Apt.
Woodridge Apartments, number 256. It's been a good year so far in this apartment. No major disputes between my roomates or myself. We've had some nice times at the apartment, I have loved every minute of it. Adriana is hardley there... we don't see much of her. Danielle practically has her own room. It's become an inside joke... who the hell's Adriana? Does she live here??
School.
This semester flew by! I can't believe I'm already done with finals. I finished yet another ASL class and I'm still lovin every second of my major. I'm just frustrated that I have to be on a waitlist for classes that I NEED! But that's a whole other entry.
The Break.
I'm looking forward to it. I have a booklist. I'm wanting to play WoW again, and I'm really excited about it. I'm also happy to be working at my new job, hopefully full time, over the break.
So that's where I'm ending.
