That Gala Thing

Ok, so I know I'm behind on these updates because Gala was totally two weeks ago. But, I'm talking about it anyways. This years Carnation Gala (the AST anual formal) was themed "Famous Couples Througout History".

Of course being the non-creative person that I am and having the laziest date (ok, so I'm lazy too), we decided to just go as a rockstar couple. Later we called ourselves that guy from Menudo and his groupie. It was funny. Amber went with Johnny as Marge and Homer. Their costumes were absolutely hilarious, I think the most creative of the night. Adriana went with Eddie, an alumni from the frat (LSP), and they dressed up as Jazmine and Aladdin. Their costumes were very cute, they even had a lamp and Abu.

We had a plan to meet Adriana at her apartment at 6:30 so that we can head to Gala. Francisco knows me too well and told me to be ready at 6:00. So I was ready at 6:15ish... right on time. Fucker. So we arrive at Amber and Adriana's on time at 6:30, where's Adriana? Still at her mom's house... not even ready yet! The joke was on Francisco... he thought we were going to be on time for once. We were not. LOL. I'm not going to lie and say that this was ok with me, because I totally rushed to be ready on time and we didn't even have a key to the apartment yet, so we just waited outside for about ten or fifteen minutes. Oh well, Adriana got there and she wasn't ready. I thought I rushed, but you should have seen her. Ok, so it was nice just chilling and watching tv while Adriana rushed to get ready. Wait, did I just admit that Francisco was right again? Ah, nuggets. Fine Francisco, thanks for making me be ready on time, you suck at life and are always right. Don't mention this again.

I forgot what time we left for Gala, but it certainly was not at the time that we wanted to leave. There was no pregaming. That's right, we broke rule number one. Drinking one beer does not count as pregaming. So on our way, we're talking to Amber and she of course demands that we get some sort of alcohol on the way. Lets go to CVS? Sav-on. Walgreens? Crap, I don't remember which store it was. Whatever it was, they had a display of Red Bull and vodka, which Francisco and I were amused by. Someone in that store was thinking.

We finally get to the place, I'm really hungry. The presentations had already started and most of the food was gone. Oh well, we ate anyways... we were at table all the way in the back, which Amber apparantly had them pull out just for us. Thank you Amber. All the gifts were cool and the costumes were nice. So, the presentation part of the night was over. Let's party. Scratch that, lets drink first. Meet us at the g-ride... where there was a bottle of vodka ready and some smirnoffs. Good times in my mom's car. Oh geez. We took fruit punch to mix with the vodka... it actually turned out to be a really good drink. We stay in the car for at least twenty minutes, get shushed by the people of the house that we parked in front of. Freak out for every car that passed by (read the freeway blog, fuck cops), and head inside expecting a bumping party. Not a soul on the dance floor, this completely and utterly sucks. Finally, Johnny gets to the dance floor. I swear that we all made eye contact from across the room and just meet on the floor. We start dancing and sure enough, after a few minutes the floor is filled with people. This makes us feel good... we danced the night away. We made a sand-guich, and did the monkey and also the pencil sharpener. It was a good night. We head home, stop at In N Out and watch a movie while Amber tries to get all the blue out of her hair.

It was overall a great night. We all had fun together and danced the night away. What more could we ask for but good times? We love eachother.
